Work-Out-Station
This is my view for a good part of each day. The scene changes with the weather, beverages, snacks, art supplies, notebooks, datebooks, and most importantly, what I face on the screen. Today it’s a little bit of designing, some blogging, and recipe hunting for a weekend get-together with friends. Low-carb blueberry coffee cake, anyone?
My chair is like a therapist’s couch. I face so many feelings here! I'd like to say it’s all sunshine and roses, but anything you really care about deserves the experience of feeling all the feels. Excitement, confusion, trepidation, shame, satisfaction, humility, joy, and the state of being I seek most… Flow. This desk is not just a workstation, it’s an emotional work-out-station! So I go through the feelings: I face the fear, I find the joy, I seek the flow. Usually, I have something to show for my efforts, but there are those times when it just can't be worked out and the best feeling is knowing when to pull the plug. Zap.
